With the cold weather comes a change in wardrobe. A lot of people think that in order to look cute in the winter, you must sacrifice warmth. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. There are a lot of women’s winter wardrobe essentials that will let you feel warm and comfy and look adorable and confident.
Add Warmth Without the Bulk
Making sure to stay warm is important in the wintertime. Wearing fabrics that are tightly woven like silk is a great way to stay warm. Another great option is to wear a fitted sweater. While it may seem like a big loose sweater is a better way to stay warm, the fitted sweater is best because it is close to your body and holds in the heat. Lightweight fabrics, like cashmere, is a good option for staying warm without wearing a bulky sweater.
Scarves are great for keeping you warm. Adding this extra layer is a great way to add a little bit of warmth without adding any extra layers. One way to add a scarf to your outfit and still look stylish is to tie the scarf low. This adds the extra layer around your neck and down the front of your body while not adding bulk to the layer. Another option is to wrap the scarf around your neck and add some flair to it with a pin or other bauble. This makes the scarf a centrepiece of an outfit.
There is nothing as cosy as a jumper. Winter is a great time to bring out the oversized cosy jumper and pair it with cute skinny jeans or leggings. This lets you look beautiful and stay warm. Don’t let the oversized idea keep you from wearing a stylish jumper. Add a belt to bring in a sense of flair. Also, don’t think that you can’t wear a bright jumper just because it’s winter. Use this winter to bring some bright colours to your jumpers.
Most people think of boots when they think of footwear in the winter time. These boots can come in many styles and looks. One of the best ways to finish off an everyday look or to dress up occasional wear is with a classic pair of ankle boots. There are a wide variety of ankle boots that can go with any outfit. These types of boots let you show off your individual style but still have the ruggedness and durability that you need in a winter boot. Take a break from the knee-high boots, which look great, and try a shorter boot style.
Having these winter essentials will make sure you are warm and comfortable this winter.
