4 Tips for Traveling to Mykonos

Rent a car

Mykonos is a small island, meaning that it is possible to explore the whole island in a week. In order to do that you will need a car so that you can cover distances fast. You will have no problem while driving as all road signs in Mykonos are in English thanks to the great number of tourists from all around the world who visit it every year. The only thing that you should be mindful of is the condition of the car you will rent. By booking a car from a site like kskrentacar.com, which is a company that conducts safety inspections frequently, you will have nothing to worry about while you are on the road.

Make reservations in advance

Mykonos is famous for its high-end restaurants. If there is a restaurant or any other type of venue, like a club, that you absolutely want to visit but it is always full, you should just make a reservation and your problem is solved. Most venues have a website where you can book a table online. If you can’t find a website, calling is just as effective. Just make sure to make your booking in advance because the more popular a restaurant is, the longer the waiting list gets.

Do your research

As mentioned above, iconic non-stop parties are held all around the island. So, if one day you want to find some peace and quiet, you should search for a quiet place. You won’t be safe on a random beach since beach parties are something common there. You can do a google search in order to find a secluded beach or you can ask a local.

Everything is expensive

Before going to Mykonos, you should keep in mind that it is an expensive destination. If you are on a budget, you should probably reconsider and choose another Greek island like Thassos or Skiathos. The main reason why it is so expensive is because many public figures who are financially independent visit the island. We should make clear, however, that most of the services offered are indeed luxurious and extravagant.
