Sharing is caring!

When it comes to a positive attitude we want to do our best to ensure that our children have the right attitude themselves, and so much of family life and behaviour is done through leading by example. However, sometimes words can be just as good to help a child understand that the way they think can have a huge impact on how they feel and the actions that they take.

Positive attitude quotes for children and families

So I have found some quotes perfect to share with children and your family to encourage a positive attitude.

Positive attitude quotes for children and families

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh

This is a very well-known saying and because it is from a popular literary character, a child can resonate with the words as well as who is saying them. Sometimes we doubt ourselves, and children can especially do this when they are trying things for the first time. So emphasising that they are braver, stronger, and smarter can help to increase their confidence levels.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde

For children and teenagers, it can be difficult to stay away from comparison, especially with their peers in school and friends, so helping them to realise that being themselves is the best course of action to take can instil confidence within them. After all, there is nobody more unique than you, so why be anyone else?

“If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.”Martin Luther King Jr

It can be for children to believe that they can do things, and so this quote is great to help them see that even the smallest of things done great can be a step in the right direction. Having big goals is great, but little steps to help you chive them should also be worth celebrating.

“Remember you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine.” – Snow White, Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs

Another great quote from a character that your children will have heard of. It is a great reminder that they are responsible for their own feelings and happiness, and while they can be a choice, they also need to ensure that they take the right steps to help them feel good. Such as being friends with people that make them feel good and doing things they enjoy.

“Everything you can imagine is real.”– Pablo Picasso

It is also important to remind your children, and any family members for that matter, that everything that they can imagine can be real. They can achieve anything they set their mind to and they can experience all that life has to offer. It is a great way to encourage your child to reach for their goals.

“When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming.” – Dory, Finding Nemo

The one thing you can teach is perseverance, but you can remind your family members and your children that you should always keep going and to never give up. This is why this quote from the Disney film Finding Nemo is a great one to remind your children. When life gets them down they need to keep on going, and everything will turn out the way it is supposed to. The one thing a child can easily do is give up when things get a little tough, so it is up to you to motivate them to keep ongoing.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”– Winston S. Churchill

Another great quote that will encourage your child to keep on going no matter the result or outcome. The way they realise that failure isn’t the final decision and they can pick up and start again, that having the courage to do that is important, then they will go far. In school, further education, and eventually in their chosen careers.

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible!”– Audrey Hepburn

Finally, another great quote that focuses on keeping going is this iconic quote from Audrey Hepburn. Nothing is impossible, and it is worth remembering this when your child is struggling with something. Remind them of these words and it may give them the confidence to keep on going. After all, anything is possible when you put your mind to it.

Hopefully, these quotes are perfect for you to share with your children and family to help encourage a positive attitude
