Being a homeowner means that you have some extra responsibilities to deal with when it comes to seasonal changes. As we enter into the middle of winter and head towards the spring season, it’s important to think about getting your home ready for spring.

Outdoor home maintenance tips for Spring
Scrub The Walls
If it’s still too cold to get outside and do some outdoor home maintenance for the spring season, you can certainly keep busy inside. Scrub down your walls. Remove all electrical outlets to wash them. Lastly, scrub the baseboards in all rooms of your home. Use warm soapy water to get these parts of your home clean, just be sure you dry the outlet covers completely before placing them back on the outlets.
Clear the Gutters
If it’s warmed up enough outside, which probably won’t happen until later in the winter season, you can clear out your gutters. It’s best to have your gutters all cleared out by the time the spring rain season arrives so that the water will be led away from your home. Clearing the gutters is something you can do yourself or hire a professional to do this when the temperatures are a little warmer outside.
Replace Filters
Have a look around your home at air filters, water filters and any other filter systems that you may have on your home. Be sure that all of the filters are replaced if they appear dirty or worn out. This is a good practice to get into for spring cleaning season so that you have your air filters and water system running efficiently all year round. Wash the Windows
There’s nothing worse than having the beautiful spring season arrive and you can’t see out your windows. The winter season can do some major damage to the view from all windows in your home. Take a glass cleaner and wash every window inside of your home. When it warms up outside, do the same cleaning process to the outer portion of your window. If you have windows that fold in to clean both sides, then take full advantage of that and get both sides clean at once.

There are many things you can do to prepare your house for the spring season, while most are involved inside, when the winter weather subsides for a warmer day, you can get outdoors to start preparing your yard and driveway for the spring season too.
