Spring always feels like a new start, a time to open the windows and let the fresh breeze blow through our home and get it sparkling by doing a thorough deep clean which takes an age. But surely we should consider autumn deep clean as it is a great time to prep for winter and a fresh start when the kids go back to school so you can get the chance to deep clean those dust bunnies which lurk beneath the bed or lay in wait for us like a spider’s web behind our little moved sofas.

We may not see it, but dust and dirt are everywhere and if we’re to keep on top of it, we need to keep our homes tidy and do a regular deep clean so that we don’t store up large amounts of dirty work for the spring clean. Besides, it’s so satisfying to have a clean home and sit down smugly with a nice drink safe in the knowledge that there isn’t a spider’s nest lurking in the corner of the room with the mother of all arachnids waiting to crawl over us when we sleep!

Beldray making cleaning easier

So why not make life a bit easier and do autumn deep clean and get your home ready for the cosy evenings. Cleaning is made so much easier with a self-wringing mop. No more muscle is required to wring out a heavy wet mop that won’t dry easily. You can even use a chenille outdoor mop to make short work of windows and conservatories. It’s soft, light, easy to wring out and leaves a streak-free finish on windows and surfaces.

All you need to reach those higher up parts both inside and out is a sturdy 2 step-ladder so you can safely navigate any hard to reach corners where dreaded cobwebs might be lurking. A trusty 7 piece home cleaning set should also form part of your arsenal so that you’ve always got a kit ready to keep your home sparkling with no excuses!

There’s really nothing like some great tools to make cleaning a breeze and an easy-fill spray mop is one of those must-have tools which can make light work of heavy ground in dirt. You can even add in your favourite liquid cleaner to leave your home and floors smelling magically fresh.

Tackling the laundry

Once you’ve got the house under control, and have washed the laundry you’ll want to move on to dry it. There’s nothing like the smell of fresh laundry drying in the home and adding your favourite fabric softener to the final rinse will create a wonderful aroma around your home when you’re airing your clothes on your trusty 3-tier clothes airer. It’s the perfect mother’s little helper to ensure your clothes are dry and cosy this autumn. Then you can stick on the radio and have some zen ironing time with a harmony print ironing board that allows you to zip through your ironing in minutes.

Great ideas and tips. I love to do a deep clean every few months (or should I say I love when it has been done – not so much the cleaning part!). X

Love the hangy bits off the ends of this airer. Plus I agree that Autumn spring cleaning is the perfect time to have a clear out.

We did a semi deep clean last weekend when we had a family party to get ready for. I thought I would manage to do loads of tidying, organising and cleaning when school started up again but I haven’t yet!
